Bob Van Olst -  Bob entered executive search in 1981 and managed assignments with New York City–based search firms in advertising, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals. He founded RVO Search in 1984, serving clients in medical devices, biotech, financial services, advertising, and electronics. He holds an MA in Human Resources from The New School for Social Research and an AB from Lafayette College. Bob is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He is active in civic and social impact initiatives and has served as a liaison to the editorial board of The New York Times.

SENIOR ADVISORS

Robert Contri (Bob) -   Bob is a former Deloitte partner with 30+ years of experience, including serving as US and Global Financial Services Leader. He advises on senior-level searches across financial services, technology, and global industries. Bob serves on the Quinnipiac University Board of Trustees and holds degrees from Gettysburg College (BA) and Rutgers University (MBA). 

Linda Quaranto - Linda is a form Managing Director from Deloitte, where she led Human Capital for Investment Management and Real Estate. With 30+ years of experience in culture and workforce transformation, she is known for helping leaders drive successful organizational change. She holds a BA in History from State University of New York Cortland. 

Bonnie Kantor -  Partner since 2021, Bonnie is a former Managing Director in Deloitte’s Financial Services practice, where she led global client relationships and DE&I initiatives. She specializes in senior-level searches across finance, technology, operations, higher education, healthcare, and mission-driven organizations. An ICF-certified leadership coach, she completed programs at Georgetown ITL and Brown ACT. Bonnie holds a BA in Political Science & Economics from Brooklyn College and an MBA in Finance from the New York Institute of Technology. She and her husband live on the East End of Long Island. 

Susan Martin - CFO & Partner

Susan joined RVO Search in 1985 and oversees the firm’s finance operations while managing recruiting assignments in marketing and sales. She brings seven years of prior experience as a commodities broker and has deep expertise in coordinating complex search engagements. Susan holds a BA from Brooklyn College. She is married and has two grown children, one who chairs her town’s Conservation Committee and another who manages a ski resort.

Barbara Guertin -  Barbara is a former Executive Recruiter at UMass Chan Medical School with experience across higher education, healthcare, and corporate sectors. She holds certifications in Executive Compensation (Wharton), Strategic Talent Acquisition (HCI), and is a Predictive Index practitioner. Barbara earned her BA from Rutgers and an MBA in HR Management from Fitchburg State, and she serves on several cultural boards in Massachusetts.
